WVFC Encourages Members to Participate in Kestrel Nest Box Building and Monitoring.
WVFC associate member Terry Carter recently approached club leadership with the suggestion that we take on a kestrel nest box building and monitoring project.

Though it's hard for the club to get together more than a couple times a year due to members being so  spread out across the state, we want to encourage those who have time and are able, to consider participating in the project.  Thanks for bringing the suggestion to the club Terry.

Red Grouse Sweepstakes
Take a step back in time to experience classic medieval falconry in the North of England with this incredible trip to interact first-hand with peregrines, red grouse, and eagles. Beginning November 1, you and a guest will fly from New York into Manchester Airport and pick up an SUV to take you around to the most exclusive and private estates in North Yorkshire.

You will spend three days red grouse hawking on Grouse Moor followed by 4 days in Lincolnshire for partridge and pheasant hawking as well as eagle hunting. You and your guest will also be treated to a specialized hunting dog training session with your falconer guide Simon Tyers as well as have your experience documented by an expert photographer. Grand prize trip includes flight, lodging, breakfast, transportation to and from Manchester Airport, $1,000 in spending money and a signed copy of Simon Tyers’ book on falconry. This is an incredible opportunity to experience classic falconry as it was meant to be.

Each donor who contributes at least $50 is automatically entered to win. Winners are responsible for arranging their own transportation to JFK Airport. Per the sweepstakes rules, no donation is necessary, but The Falconry Fund appreciates the support. All donations provide funds for the Falconry Center and enables further advocacy for the sport.

For sweepstakes rules and for further questions or information, including whether the sweepstakes is available to participants in a particular state, please visit Rules, Terms and Conditions or contact admin@falconryfund.com.

Winners must test negative for Covid19 within 72 hours of the flight leaving for Europe to travel overseas.
