‘Women in Power’ involves seven organizations from Spain, Romania, Lithuania, United Kingdom and Malta aiming to promote professional leadership and the empowerment of women working in traditional sectors.

The first goal for the project is to provide a complete analysis on how the underrepresentation of women in boards and other executive roles within the traditional sectors (furniture, textile and footwear) of European economy can be solved by promoting women leadership and participation in the decision-making process with the appropriate educational tools.

‘Women in Power’ training will support women to acquire news competences, but also to reflect on their current skillfulness by making them aware of the multitude of skills that they have gained already in their chosen sector and through life experiences. RTXC ATTENDS THE EUROPEAN CLUSTER CONFERENCE IN BUCHAREST

RTxC was present with our project in events like the European Cluster Conference in Bucharest (where a woman was elected cluster manager of the year!), in various seminars on the qualification and occupation of the work force, or even in the Holde Expo – China UE exhibition, where RTxC had a special booth dedicated to promoting the project.

On September 6th, Inova had a networking breakfast in Sheffield to connect with local organizations and where the project ‘Women in Power’ was introduced. The event had an attendance of 4 organizations and 6 representatives, all of them involved in the advancement of local communities of women, migrant women, volunteers and adult training.

A project presentation event was organized in Kauna’s Probation Office for job counselors. Participants were offered a new educational product and had the possibility of choice to enhance their emergent skills. JKC also presented the project to international partners from Iceland, Finland and Norway.

On 26 June 2019, Women Directors’ Malta held a business breakfast at Skyparks with a panel of speakers to discuss the following title ‘Equality is not a women’ issue alone, but a men’s issue too’. During the event WDM, as partners also disseminated information about the EU project “Women in Power”. They explained what the project was about and how it would be offering an online course to empower women to reach higher echelons at their work environment.
